PRIVACY & DATA

Your setup.
Your browser.

Last updated: 8 October 2026. This page describes the first version of Overlap Atlas.

What you enter

The planner uses city choices, local work hours, weekend preferences, a date, meeting length and an optional selected meeting time. Calculations run in your browser. We do not ask for names, email addresses, meeting agendas, calendar access or account credentials.

Saved settings

We use browser local storage under the key overlap-atlas-v1 to keep your setup on the same browser and website origin. It is not a synced account. “Reset” replaces the setup with the default cities and removes the previous saved choices. Clearing this site’s browser data also removes them.

If local storage is blocked, the planner still works. Use a share link if you want to keep the setup. Viewing a shared snapshot does not overwrite your saved setup.

Share links

A share link encodes the setup after the # in its URL. Browsers normally do not send this fragment in the HTTP request to the hosting server. Anyone with the full link can decode the cities and availability. The link is not encrypted or access-controlled; forward it only where you want this information to be visible.

Copied meeting details are generated in your browser. Clicking a copy button requests clipboard writing. If copying is blocked, you can select and copy the text yourself. The site does not read your clipboard.

Hosting and network requests

When published on Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare delivers the website and can process ordinary network information such as IP address, requested page, browser headers and security logs. Hosting is different from sending your planner inputs to an application database: this version has no application database or form submission.

Fonts, styling, icons and application files are served from this site. The tool does not load remote maps, ads or external AI APIs.

Visit analytics

Cloudflare Pages automatically adds Cloudflare Web Analytics to this release. It measures page visits, page views, referral sources and performance by sending page and browser performance information to Cloudflare. It does not use analytics cookies or browser fingerprinting, and these totals do not identify an individual returning visitor. Planner settings are stored in the URL fragment and local storage; avoid adding private information to page URLs. Read Cloudflare’s analytics explanation.

Feedback

If you reply to a community post about the tool, that platform processes your reply under its own policy. Avoid sharing personal meeting details. Product-testing notes are kept separately from this site and use anonymous participant labels.
